FAQ

Does My Pet Need An Appointment to Be Seen By The Doctor?

Yes. To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment.

Emergency cases always receive top priority!!

An occasional appointment delay is inevitable due to unforeseen circumstances and emergencies. Please realize that we make a sincere effort to see each client on time.

We ask that you call us 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule an appointment. We offer evening appointments on Wednesdays for those who work late.

Can I Drop My Pet Off and Return Later?

Yes. For your convenience, ‘drop-off’ appointments are available.

A ‘drop off’ appointment allows you to bring your pet to Animal Health Veterinary Clinic and leave him/her with us for a few hours. We will usually ask you to drop your pet off sometime in the morning. The doctor will examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients.

Once the doctor has completed the exam or procedure, he/she will give you a call to schedule a time to pick up your pet and go over any diagnosis, treatment, medication, etc.

What should I know About Arriving for My Pet’s Appointment?

For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. Cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets.

For the safety of all the animals in our care, we require that each pet be current on their vaccinations.

What Forms of Payment Do You Accept?

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered.

For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Care Credit, and Cash. If you are a new client, we will not accept personal checks until you become established.
